Cuando aparezca Slender tienes alrededor de 50 segundos para eliminarlo o huir de el, sino, el acabará contigo. Si lo miras fijamente te producirá ceguera. El ser aparece en unas nuevas estructuras llamadas "slender shrines", si no te apetece recibir más visitas de tu nuevo amigo Slender, derriba las estructuras que tengas más cerca de tu casa o de tus construcciones.
El mod se puede jugar en partidas individuales o bien en multijugador, así que si necesitas compañía puedes invitar a Slender a jugar en las partidas que disfrutas con tus amigos.
