Aether Legacy vuelve para traernos la característica dimensión formada por islas flotantes, y conocida con el nombre de Aether. Este mod viene a traernos el contenido de la primera versión del mod Aether, que quedó desactualizado hace ya bastante tiempo. Así que si en su momento lo disfrutaste, ya puedes revivirlo de nuevo.
El contenido de este mod se desarrollará únicamente en la nueva dimensión, por lo que tendremos que acceder a ella. Para hacerlo, tendremos que crear un portal, similar al de Nether pero con glostone, es decir, un portal de 4×5 con bloques de glowstone. Una vez construida la estructura del portal podremos activarlo con un cubo de agua, en vez del mechero. Una vez creado y activado por el portal, ya podremos viajar a través de el.
En esta nueva dimensión, que representa ser la contraparte del Nether, encontraremos islas flotantes, con nuevos bloques decorativos, objetos, minerales, flora y fauna nueva, así como nuevos jefes y mazmorras.
