Cars and Drives nos permite fabricar coches en Minecraft, con los que podremos desplazarnos por el mundo con estilo. El mod nos permite craftear un total de nueve vehículos, entre ellos coches y furgones. Estos vehículos deben ser fabricados a partir de diversas piezas, empezando por las ruedas, el motor y la carrocería.
Conducir con uno de estos coches nos permitirá ascender por las carenas de las montañas tal y como lo haríamos sobre un caballo, es decir, los vehículos ascenderán sin detenerse a través de desniveles de un bloque de altura. Aunque deberemos tener cuidado con los accidentes, ya que los vehículos se dañarán, aunque no cambie su apariencia.
El autor del mod recomienda combinar los coches que nos ofrece este mod con los diversos objetos de decoración urbana que añade el Road Mod, para obtener una experiencia realmente urbana en Minecraft.
