Enhanced Visuals se encarga de generar nuevos efectos visuales que aparecerán en nuestra pantalla de juego, tras producirse ciertas acciones. El objetivo del mod es transmitir más emociones y sensaciones a los jugadores añadiendo efectos visuales variados.
Estos nuevos efectos visuales aparecerán al ser afectados por una poción, al encontrarnos con un Enderman, al quemarnos con fuego o lava, durante la lluvia, que aparecerán partículas de agua simulando gotas de agua o pantalla empañada al salir del agua. También aparecerán efectos cuando nuestro personaje sea golpeado, apareciendo partículas de sangre en la pantalla, que aumentarán a medida que recibamos más daño. Al explotar un Creeper o una TNT aparecerán partículas de polvo en la pantalla, al igual que al caminar sobre la arena, mientras que al andar sobre la nieve aparecerán partículas de nieve o hielo.
Además, cuando nos encontremos en una batalla contra más de un enemigo, tras derrotar al segundo enemigo, a modo de «combo» completado, aparecerá un efecto visual que ralentiza la imagen, simulando una cinemática.
