Exotic Birds se encarga de añadir nuevos tipos de aves al juego, en concreto encontraremos hasta veintinueve especies de aves. Incluso, si tenemos curiosidad por conocerlas mejor, podremos fabricar una enciclopedia, llamada Book of Birds, que nos aportará información real sobre cada una de las aves, que añade este mod, que están basadas en aves reales.
Con este mod instalado, podremos encontrarnos con loros, flamencos, bobos, urracas, fénix, gaviotas, búhos, avestruces, pelícanos, palomas, cardenales, casuarios, patos, garzas, pavo real, tucanes, pingüinos, cisnes, colibrís, kiwis, buitres y pájaros carpinteros, entre otras especies.
De todas estas nuevas especies de pájaros podremos obtener objetos diversos, aunque principalmente nos permitirán conseguir huevos. Estos huevos podremos colocarlos en incubadoras, que nos permitirán criar pájaros bajo nuestro control. También podremos volar con algunos de estos pájaros, por ejemplo, sobre el fénix.
