Fireplace es un mod que añade diversos nuevos bloques funcionales y decorativos al juego, que nos permitirán crear nuevas opciones, tanto para cocinar, como para decorar nuestras construcciones, en base a chimeneas, barbacoas, pozos de fuego, una estufa, un grill, parrillas y fogatas. Además estos nuevos bloques o objetos podremos construirlos a través de los diversos materiales que encontramos en Minecraft.
Además tanto las fogatas, como las parrillas para hacer barbacoas y las chimeneas, emitirán partículas de humo, siempre y cuando haya un fuego encendido. Otro hecho destacable del mod es que en el caso de las parrillas, podremos cocinar 4 alimentos de forma simultanea.
