Floating Rails es un mod que tal y como evidencia su propio título, nos permitirá crear vías de tren flotantes, aunque estas vías no flotarán en el aire, si que lo harán en el agua y en lava, por lo que nos ahorraremos el tener que crear puentes y hacer inventos para traspasar zonas de agua y de lava.
El mod nos permite crear todas las actuales vías existentes en el juego, en variantes flotantes. Estas variantes se crearán sobre nenúfares normales, en el caso de las vías flotantes sobre agua, y sobre nenúfares de obsidiana, en el caso de las vías flotantes sobre lava. También podremos utilizar éstos nenúfares para colocar antorchas de Redstone y cualquier cosa que queramos.
