From the Ground Up es un mod que desde el primer momento de una nueva partida, modificará el desarrollo de la misma, ya que todos los objetos predefinidos del juego, así como sus funcionalidades, irán ligadas a una tecnología. Por lo que para crear cierto objeto, antes tendremos que investigar una tecnología para poder desbloquear la tecnología que nos permitirá crear el objeto en cuestión.
El proceso de investigación de tecnologías, en este mod, está inspirado en el sistema de investigación del mod Thaumcraft. El mod también añade un libro de investigación donde podremos ver aquellos objetos que ya podemos crear, junto a los que podremos crear después de investigar ciertas tecnologías. En la imagen inferior nos podemos hacer una idea de como serán los árboles de desarrollo de tecnologías para desarrollar nuevos objetos.
Este mod se encuentra en fase de desarrollo Beta, así que todavía puede contener errores o bugs. Iremos publicando sus respectivas actualizaciones en este mismo artículo.
