Funky Locomotion es un mod que nos permitirá fabricar dos nuevas variantes de pistones, una que empuja bloques y otra variante que atrae bloques. Estos dos pistones, junto a nuestra propia imaginación nos permitirá dar movimiento a algunas cosas, ya que podremos crear cadenas de pistones que empujen o atraigan cosas, y por ende, hacer que se muevan.
Además, estos nuevos pistones podrán empujar y atraer bloques y objetos que con los pistones normales no pueden moverse, como por ejemplo entidades, antorchas, placas de presión y bloques de obsidiana, entre otras cosas. Aunque para que funcionen, al igual que ocurre con los pistones predefinidos en el juego, estos nuevos pistones necesitan energía para funcionar, de modo que tendremos que activarlos mediante señales de Redstone.
