GemsPlus es un mod que agrega nuevos recursos minerales a la generación de mundos en Minecraft. Estos nuevos minerales nos permitirán conseguir un total de hasta 18 tipos de gemas, que podremos utilizar tanto para desarrollar tanto nuevos objetos, cómo bloques decorativos.
Las gemas que recojamos las podremos utilizar en la mesa de crafteo, del mismo modo que utilizaríamos un lingote de hierro. Esto quiere decir que podremos desarrollar nuevas armas, herramientas y armaduras basadas en las gemas recogidas. Aunque no sólo objetos, también podremos desarrollar nuevos bloques decorativos, cómo por ejemplo cristales de colores.
