Hopper Ducts nos ofrece dos nuevos objetos relacionados con las tolvas, las tuberías y los filtros. Éstos nos permitirán aprovechar mejor las tolvas predefinidas del juego, pues podremos conectar unas tolvas con otras, aunque haya separación entre ellas, y utilizar filtros para filtrar el tipo de objetos que deben o no deben pasar a través de cada una de las tolvas del sistema que hayamos creado.
Con las tolvas, los filtros y las tuberías podremos crear sistemas de distribución, sencillos y eficientes, de objetos, que de forma automática dejarán pasar ciertos objetos a través de las tuberías y tolvas, haciendo que algunos objetos se almacenen en un cofre u en otro, según nosotros definamos, sin tener que hacerlo cada vez de forma manual.
