Howling Moon se encarga de añadir un nuevo tipo de lobo al juego. Dicho lobo, llamado "Alphawolf", tiene la capacidad de transmitirnos una enfermedad, que nos permitirá convertirnos en hombre lobo, al mordernos. De este modo, tras haber sido mordidos por un Alphawolf, cada vez que sea luna llena nos convertiremos en hombre lobo.
Son varias las habilidades que adquiriremos al convertirnos en hombres lobo, pero podemos resumirlas en aumento de velocidad, de salto y de fuerza. El mod nos permitirá utilizar una nueva planta, llamada "Wolfsbane", para fabricar un libro (Lycanthropy Guide) que nos servirá como guía con las diferentes opciones y funcionalidades que nos aporta este mod.
Este mod se encuentra en fase de actualización Beta, así que todavía puede contener errores o bugs. Iremos publicando sus respectivas actualizaciones en este mismo artículo.
