Improved Backpacks es un mod que nos permitirá fabricar una mochila que puede ser coloreada, con los dieciséis tintes predefinidos del juego, puede ser renombrada, con cualquier nombre que queramos, y puede ser mejorada, aumentando así la capacidad de almacenamiento.
El funcionamiento es sencillo. Lo primeo que tenemos que hacer es fabricar una mochila, unirla con un tinte en la mesa de crafteo, si queremos colorearla, y fabricar las diversas mejoras de espacio. Las mejoras disponibles son de madera, piedra, hierro, oro y diamante.
Las mejoras son progresivas, es decir, tendremos que empezar por la de madera, luego la de piedra, etcétera, para poder llegar a la de diamante, que tiene una capacidad máxima de sesenta y tres casillas de almacenamiento.
