MineColonies es un mod que nos permite crear pueblos, colonias y ciudades habitadas por seres de forma humanoide. Estos poblados o ciudades podremos construirlas utilizando bloques que contienen estructuras predefinidas, así que no tendremos que crear nosotros las estructuras. Según la estructura que creemos aparecerán humanos con diversas funciones y podremos interacturar con ellos.
Estos humanos tendrán ciertas tareas de forma predefinida. Por ejemplo, si creamos una granja nos aparecerá un granjero, si hacemos una mina aparecerá también un minero, y así con el resto, pescador, leñador, constructor, agricultor, etc. Cada uno de estos humanos trabajara en su tarea y recogerá los recursos que tiene asignados.
