Mob Totems es un mod que nos permitirá anular la generación de entidades hostiles en un radio de acción concreto, utilizando tótems específicos para cada entidad. Es decir, si creamos un tótem de Creeper, en cierta área a la redonda no podrán generarse Creepers.
El área de acción de el tótem más básico es de 32 bloques a la redonda, aunque podremos aumentar este rango de acción apilando nuevos bloques de madera de tótem encima. Cada bloque aumentará el rango en 16 bloques a la redonda, con un rango de acción máximo de 64 bloques.
El mod añade una guía (en inglés) que nos explica el funcionamiento de los objetos del mod, así como su proceso de fabricación. Dicho libro se fabrica uniendo un libro vacío y un hueso en la mesa de crafteo, o en el área de crafteo del inventario de nuestro personaje.
