OpenComputers es un extenso y completo mod que hará las delicias de aquellos que conocen y saben programar con el lenguaje de programación LUA.
El mod nos ofrece toda clase de bloques, máquinas, robots y sistemas con los que podremos crear infinidad de cosas, y además podremos combinarlo con grandes mods, como por ejemplo BuildCraft o Industrial Craft (cuando estén disponibles para la versión 1.8, que todavía no lo están), ya que estos mods pueden proveer de energía la maquinaria y los sistemas de OpenComputers.
El mod nos permite la opción de crear robots y programarlos para que realicen cualquier acción que se nos pase por la cabeza. Siempre y cuando, claro está, sepamos programar en LUA.
