Planttech es un mod que combina agricultura y tecnología para permitirnos obtener recursos minerales sin tener que acudir a las minas de Minecraft, ya que podremos plantar árboles y plantas que nos dará recursos minerales sin tener que usar el pico.
El mod también nos permite utilizar varias clases de máquinas para procesar y automatizar procesos de agricultura, así como crear invernaderos para mejorar el rendimiento de nuestra plantación de recursos minerales. También podremos crear teletransportadores, viajar a una nueva dimensión, crear algunos nuevos bloques decorativos y una nueva armadura con efectos alterados, entre otras cosas.
