Roadblocks es un mod que tienen por objetivo traer a la versión 1.8 de Minecraft, algo que en teoría debe ser añadido en la futura versión 1.9 de Minecraft, la adición de bloques para crear caminos, sendas y carreteras, aunque estos bloques tienen diseños de bloques existentes en el juego, es decir, no hay nuevos diseños de texturas para estos bloques, si no que se usan bloques decorativos existentes.
Pero si pensabas que esto simplemente era un cambio estético, andabas equivocado, estas carreteras, sendas o caminos tendrán un efecto sobre aquellos que transiten por ellas. Normalmente en la vida real las carreteras se construyen para ir más rápidamente a otros lugares, así que al caminar por las carreteras creadas en este mod, el personaje aumentará su velocidad por el efecto de las pociones de velocidad.
