Roguelike Dungeons tiene por objetivo modificar la generación de terreno del juego para aumentar de forma importante la cantidad de mazmorras que se generan en el mundo. Y la verdad es que sigue a rajatabla su objetivo, ya que se encarga de generar enormes estructuras subterráneas, llenas de galerías y salas plagadas de enemigos. Cuanto más descendamos dentro de estas mazmorras más aumentará el nivel de dificultad.
Dentro de estas nuevas mazmorras encontraremos una gran cantidad de enemigos, pasadizos y galerías, donde el combate será constante. Aunque de vez en cuando nos encontraremos con salas de descanso, donde encontraremos mesas de crafteo y hornos que nos permitirán tomar un respiro de la batalla y poner en orden nuestros inventarios antes de salir de nuevo al campo de batalla.
Como este mod se encarga de modificar la generación de terreno, para que la generación de mazmorras sea correcta, tendremos que crear un mundo nuevo, eligiendo la opción "Dungeons" dentro del menú de tipos de mundo.
