Simple Ore Generation es un mod que modifica la generación de recursos minerales en Minecraft. El mod reduce la frecuencia con la que se generan las acumulaciones de minerales, es decir, encontraremos menos vetas de hierro, carbón, diamantes, etc, pero cuando las encontremos, éstas tendrán más minerales en ese mismo lugar.
Además de esto, el mod se encarga de extender la generación de recursos minerales más allá del Overworld, generando recursos también en otras dimensiones, con son el Nether y el End. En estas dimensiones en cambio, se generan más recursos minerales que en el Overworld, porqué también es más difícil minar entre Zombis Pigman, en el Nether, y Endermans, en el End.
