Simply Jetpacks 2 está pensado para funcionar con mods como Ender IO o Thermal Expansions, actuando como un complemento que nos ofrece la posibilidad de surcar los cielos de nuestros mundos utilizando jetpacks. Con este mod instalado podremos fabricar varios tipos de Jetpacks, aunque podremos agruparlos en dos grupos, Jetpacks y Fluxpacks.
Mientras que los Jetpacks únicamente nos permitirán volar y evitar caídas, los Fluxpacks nos permitirán cargar cosas en nuestro inventario sobre la marcha. Tanto los Fluxpacks como los Jetpacks requieren de energía para funcionar, que en este caso debe ser Redstone Flux.
