Terrain Crystals nos ofrece la posibilidad de generar biomas de Minecraft en cualquier lugar que deseemos. Lo único que debemos hacer es craftear uno o varios de los cristales que nos ofrece el mod. Una vez tenemos uno de estos cristales (cada cristal nos permite generar un tipo de bioma concreto) lo colocaremos en la mano del personaje y pulsaremos botón derecho sobre el suelo para generar el bioma.
Estos cristales nos permite generar pequeños biomas, aunque si queremos podemos ir uniendo un bioma después del otro usando siempre el mismo tipo de cristal, o bien hacer cristales de varios biomas y colocarlos uno al lado del otro. Por el momento podremos generar estos biomas: Plains, Desert, Mesa, Taiga, Mushroom Island, Ice Plains Spikes, Jungle y Swamplands. Además de biomas con las características del Nether y del End.
