The Betweenlands es un mod que añade una nueva dimensión al juego, llamada Betweenlands. Aunque no se trata de una dimensión con cuatro cosas nuevas. Se trata de una dimensión completa, con una gran cantidad de contenido nuevo, que nos planteará nuevas aventuras, llenos de nuevos desafíos.
Betweenlands son los restos de una antigua civilización perdida en el tiempo. Se trata de un reino oscuro y misterioso, habitado por criaturas monstruosas que viven entre los restos de lo que algún día fue un reino poderoso.
En esta nueva dimensión podremos encontraremos con una buena cantidad de nuevos biomas, árboles, flores, materiales y minerales. También encontraremos estructuras ruinosas, como fortalezas y ruinas subterráneas habitadas por extrañas criaturas hostiles. Eso sin dejar de lado los nuevos cultivos, más de 300 nuevos bloques de construcción, más de 350 nuevos objetos, 250 sonidos nuevos, cambios climáticos aleatorios y sucesos sobrenaturales.
