The Blocklings es un mod que añade una nueva criatura al juego, el Blockling. Esta criatura, que encontraremos en diversas variantes estéticas, suelen habitar en los biomas de bosque y en las planicies. Los Blocklings pueden ser domados por los jugadores, así que podremos utilizarlos como compañeros de aventuras.
Domar a un Blockling es realmente sencillo, ya que tan sólo deberemos darles flores. Una vez hemos domado a un Blockling, éste nos seguirá y nos defenderá de los ataques de los enemigos. Nuestro nuevo compañero de aventuras irá ganando experiencia a medida que luche contra enemigos.
Esta acumulación de experiencia la podremos utilizar para aumentar sus parámetros de vida, poder de ataque, defensa y velocidad. Cuando nuestro Blockling tenga cierto nivel de poder podremos equiparlo con espadas. Cuando nuestro compañero de viajes reciba daño, podremos curarle dándoles flores.
