The Farlanders es un mod que nos agrega una nueva especie al juego. Esta nueva especie está basada en los Endermans y añade variantes de estos seres, algunos hostiles y otros benévolos. En esta última versión podremos encontrarnos con 12 variantes de Farlanders, uno más que en la anterior versión.
Pero estos seres necesitan un lugar donde vivir o donde pasar la mayor parte del tiempo, así que también se agregan estructuras, como casas, torres e incluso poblados habitados únicamente por este nueva especie. Algunos de estos Farlanders son comerciantes y a diferencia de los aldeanos, su moneda de intercambio es el rubí, mineral que también agrega el mod a la generación de mundos.
