The Spice of Life es un mod que busca ofrecer ciertos beneficios a los jugadores que mantengan una dieta saludable con su personaje de Minecraft, de modo que el comer bien ahora tendrá efectos positivos sobre la salud del personaje. Se acabó comer siempre pan o pollo para recuperar salud.
Con este mod instalado tendremos que intentar comer alimentos diversos, ya que una dieta variada en cuanto a alimentos fortalecerá el cuerpo y la salud de nuestro personaje, beneficios que del mismo modo se aportarían a nuestro cuerpo y salud en la vida real.
Para cumplir con el propósito de consumir una dieta rica en alimentos variados, el mod añade nuevas recetas de comida, y nuevos alimentos con los que elaborar dichas recetas. De este modo podremos, y tendremos, que comer diversos tipos de comida, de lo contrario nuestro personaje podrá sufrir desnutrición, y cada vez nos costará más recuperar la salud y vitalidad de nuestro personaje.
