AbyssalCraft es un mod que se centra en añadirnos bastante contenido nuevo, centrándose principalmente en añadir un total de cuatro nuevas dimensiones al juego, cada una de ellas pobladas por criaturas no humanas, así como nuevos bloques y objetos interesantes.
Estas nuevas dimensiones son The Abyssal Wasteland, The Dreadlands, Omothol y The Dark Realm, que en conjunto forman un lo que se conoce bajo el nombre "The Abys". Este lugar tiene varias capas de profundidad siendo cada una de ellas el hábitat de extrañas criaturas no muertas.
