Alternate Terrain Generation es un mod que se encarga de modificar la generación de terreno del juego para hacer que éste sea más diverso, con biomas que pueden llegar a mezclarse o "trozos" de biomas dentro de otros, como podemos ver en la imagen inferior.
La idea original de este mod era ofrecer una generación de terreno más lógica, teniendo en cuenta factores como la altura del terreno, la temperatura, o la humedad, ordenando biomas según sus caracteríticas para evitar encontrar un desierto tras una planicie nevada. También se encarga de que el terreno sea más progresivo, sobretodo en zonas montañosas.
Este mod se encuentra en fase de actualización Alpha, así que todavía puede contener errores o bugs. Iremos publicando sus respectivas actualizaciones en este mismo artículo.
