Modular Tools es un mod que nos permite crear tres nuevos objetos, un anillo modular, un pico modular y una espada modular. Además de estos objetos, el mod nos permite crear actualizaciones para el pico y la espada modular, que nos servirán para mejorar las habilidades de estos dos objetos, al igual que efectos para el anillo.
Existen varias actualizaciones o mejoras que podremos crear. A la vez que añadimos mejoras debemos tener en cuenta de que deberemos añadir también degradaciones para conseguir un equilibrio correcto. Para ello siempre deberemos obtener la cifra cero entre mejoras y degradaciones.
Para añadir las mejoras o actualizaciones, tanto al pico como a la espada, deberemos colocar uno de estos dos objetos en nuestra mano y pulsar "Shift + clic derecho del ratón", para acceder a la interfaz donde podemos añadir las mejoras para la espada y para el pico, que servirán para mejorar sus funcionalidades.
