Better Records es un mod que nos permitirá descargar y escuchar nuestras canciones favoritas a través de internet, utilizando los discos de música predefinidos en Minecraft, cómo discos para grabar las canciones y reproducirlas en un tocadiscos. Aunque también puedes escuchar simplemente la radio. Y todo desde de nuestros mundos de Minecraft.
El mod añade diversos formatos de disco que podremos craftear. Según el tipo de disco podremos guardar una o varias canciones, haciendo nuestro propio "single". También podremos crear altavoces, y un tocadiscos para reproducir las canciones o singles. Además de esto, el mod añade luces de colores, para simular una discoteca, cableado para conectar el equipo de música.
Grabar discos en Minecraft con este mod, es tan sencillo cómo colocar el disco virgen (vacío) en la grabadora, ponerle un título y la url de donde debe grabar. El mod permite grabar y reproducir tanto formato .mp3, cómo .ogg, aunque su autor recomienda utilizar el formato .ogg para reproducir música en este mod.
