Building Bricks es un mod que se centra en ofrecernos nuevas variantes de algunos bloques decorativos de Minecraft, que podremos crear a través de un nuevo objeto que se añade al juego, una paleta (trowel, en inglés). Estos nuevos bloques están más pensados para dar un toque decorativo a una construcción, que para hacer propiamente una construcción con ellos.
Este objeto nos permitirá hacer escaleras con ciertos bloques que no tienen variante para hacer escaleras, losas verticales (slabs), bloques con un tamaño que representa una octava parte de un bloque normal y otro bloque rectangular, en formato horizontal, que representaría una cuarta parte de un bloque normal de Minecraft.
