Forever Enough Items está desarrollado para funcionar en combinación con Just Enough Items, que permite ver las recetas de cualquier objeto del juego o de un mod, pero no permite algunas de las funciones que existían en el ya antiguo Not Enough Items.
Precisamente la función de este mod es añadir todas aquellas funcionalidad que existían en el Not Enough Items, pero que no se encuentran en el Just Enough Items, que por ejemplo son, cambiar la hora del día, cambiar meteorología, cambiar entre modos de juego, llenar barra de hambre, restaurar la salud, función de imán para recoger objetos y por supuesto la útil función de guardar inventarios predefinidos.
