IronChests pone a nuestra disposición diversas variantes del cofre de Minecraft, con un nuevo aspecto exterior, pero sobretodo permitiendo almacenar muchos más objetos que los cofres predefinidos del juego.
Estos nuevos cofres se fabrican a partir de materiales como el cofre, el cobre, que permite 45 casillas de capacidad, el de hierro, con 54 casillas, el de plata, con 72 casillas, el cofre de oro, que aumenta la capacidad hasta las 81 casillas y el de diamante, que nos permite 108 casillas de capacidad.
Por otro lado, podremos crear un cofre de cristal y uno de obsidiana. Las capacidades de ambos son idénticas a las del cofre de diamante, sólo que el cofre de cristal muestra los objetos de su interior y el de obsidiana es resistente a toda clase de explosiones.
