NJay’s Unicorn se encarga de generar unicornios y pegasos en nuestros mundos de Minecraft. Cada una de estas criaturas voladoras aparecerán en biomas concretos del juego, así el pegaso aparecerá únicamente en el bioma Extreme Hills, mientras que el unicornio podremos encontrarlo en el bioma de Savanna. Podremos domesticar y criar a cualquier ejemplar tal y cómo lo haríamos con un caballo normal.
Este mod también añade alicornios elementales, es decir, básicamente unicornos con poderes elementales. Lo interesante de los alicornios es ellos mismos cómo animales tienen diversos hechizos que se aplican a ellos mismos, pero también aportarán encantamientos al jugador que esté cerca de ellos. Hasta el momento existen los alicornios de agua, hielo, lava, Creeper, fuego y zombie, cada uno con sus propias habilidades o poderes.
Estas nuevas criaturas también «dropearán» objetos que nos permitirán desarrollar nuevas armaduras con habilidades especiales.
