Realistic Torches es un mod que añade un toque realista a todo lo que envuelve al funcionamiento y utilización de las antorchas en Minecraft. Este realismo, además, hace que los inicios de las partidas sean algo más complicados, ya que ahora las antorchas se apagarán con el paso del tiempo y con la lluvia.
Ahora al craftear una antorcha y colocarla en cualquier parte del mundo, deberemos encenderla, ya sea utilizando las cerillas que añade el mod o bien el mechero. Las antorchas se apagarán pasados 60 minutos de juego, aunque también pueden apagarse a causa del agua de lluvia.
A pesar de este nuevo funcionamiento, podremos seguir creando antorchas de llama permanente, utilizando glowstone en vez de carbón.
