The Earth

The Earth es un mod que se encarga de ofrecernos un nuevo tipo de mundo predefinido que recrea nuestro planeta Tierra a escala 1:95, basándose en fuentes reales, para recrear la forma y dimensiones de continentes, islas, mares y océanos. Esto se traduce en un mundo con unas dimensiones de 432000 x 216000 bloques de tamaño.

Desplazarse a una zona concreta podría parecer complicado ya que se trata de un mundo muy grande, sin embargo, y por suerte, el mod añade un nuevo comando que nos permitirá utilizar dirigirnos a cualquier lugar utilizando la longitud y altitud de cualquier rincón de nuestro planeta. Para ello abriremos el menú de comandos pulsando la tecla "T" dentro del juego, para posteriormente escribir "/tplatlong" y a continuación las coordenadas. Esto sería un ejemplo: "/tplatlong 0.54154 45.54254".

Si queremos hacerlo al revés, saber en que lugar del mundo nos encontramos mientras andamos por el mundo recreado en Minecraft, podremos pulsar la tecla "K" para abrir una interfaz gráfica que nos mostrará las coordenadas del punto donde nos encontramos, así como la dirección de la calle (si la hay) y una imagen de Google Streetview.

Para poder crear este nuevo tipo de mundo que recrea la Tierra en Minecraft, deberemos acceder al menú de creación y selección de mundos para seleccionar el tipo de mundo "Earth" y crear el mundo.
