Torcherino es un mod que nos permite crear dos nuevas variantes de antorcha, aunque si función no es la de iluminar, si no de modificar los "ticks" o el tiempo de aquellos bloques y objetos que son afectados por el tiempo. Éstas antorchas tienen hasta cuatro rangos de acción y pueden aumentar el tiempo de cultivos, máquinas y objetos funcionales hasta un 400%.
La diferencia entre las dos antorchas es simple, una de ellas estará funcionando de forma permanente, mientras que la otra necesitará una señal de redstone para funcionar, de modo que podremos activar y detener su funcionalidad cuando lo deseemos.
Algunos ejemplos de donde podemos utilizar estas antorchas serían, para acelerar el tiempo de crecimiento de cualquier tipo de cultivo, acelerar el tiempo de cocción de los hornos e incluso producir enemigos con mayor rapidez en una trampa de mobs o una granja de minerales.
